SMTP Authentication Setup Guide for Microsoft Outlook Express

1. Launch Microsoft Outlook Express



2. Click on Tools > Accounts
   
   



3. Click on Mail tab
   
   



4. Highlight your email account and click on Properties.



5. Click on the 'Servers' tab and you will see a box like below:
   
   



6. Tick the box that says "My server requires authentication"
   
   



7. Click on the 'Settings' button. You will be taken to another screen like this:
   
   



8. Click on the 'Use same settings as my incoming server' like this:
   
   



9. Click 'OK' on the Outgoing Mail server window, then 'Apply' on the Properties window. Click on the 'Close' button at the Internet Accounts window.
