Using The File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
WebSpace provides File Transfer Protocol (FTP) access to all the websites hosted with us. Subscribers can use FTP Clients to access their FTP sites.
If you do not have an FTP client application, you could simply use your web browser to access your FTP sites.
- Launch your web browser (e.g. Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox)
- Type in your FTP site address in the address bar as you would do to go to a normal website, but use FTP prefix instead of HTTP, e.g. ftp://www.your-domain.com/
- You will be prompted with a login screen. Enter the credentials that WebSpace has provided to you during your registration. If you have lost your Login ID and/or Password, please write to support@webspace.com.sg.
- After a successful login, you will see the contents of your FTP site. To update web pages, go to the 'www' folder and upload your files over. Normal copy-paste procedure works in most cases.
- When you have finished uploading the new web pages, simply close your web browser and your session will be ended automatically.
- Check your website to see if you have uploaded the pages correctly.
Please notify us at
support@webspace.com.sg if you face problems accessing your FTP sites.
